A day at the waterpark

Sapphira was kind enough to take me to two beautiful waterfalls today.  I could not tell you where either of them were, seeing as we had to stop on the side of a country road to hike to them.  Through the bush and over a stream or two, we ventured to these two spots.  Not only did we  get to enjoy being in the rain, we also enjoyed observing the waterfall, followed by a dip in the pool.

The water was frigid like the night air on a -10 degree day, with fierce winds.  When I jumped from the cliff into the pool I was pretty sure I jumped in a bucket of ice water (without the ice), I felt my breath clenching.  Don’t worry, I quickly swam to the rocks, so no drowning for me.

Along our journey we stopped by a few fruit stands, collecting a bag of macadamia nuts, a few GIANT custard apples the size of a large eggplant, 2 dozen avocados, a few limes, a few oranges, and a few grapefruits.  I love the tropics.  All of this was gathered for about $5-10.  The stands are on a trust donation base, with a tiny box for change and dollars.  I love living in a country where farmers can actually trust others to pay for their hard work.
